Learn more about our Professional Teeth Whitening Services
Teeth whitening is a cosmetic procedure designed to brighten your smile by lightening teeth and removing stains or discoloration. I use a highly effective gel that is activated by a blue LED light to accelerate the whitening process. The treatment is safe, quick, and delivers visible results by breaking down stains on the teeth.
Absolutely. As a certified professional, I ensure the process is both safe and effective. The products I use are imported from Europe and meet strict international safety standards, including those used by dentists in the EU.
Each session typically lasts between 60-90 minutes, depending on the initial color of your teeth and the brightness you wish to achieve.
Most clients see significant improvements after just one session. For optimal results, however, two sessions may be recommended, particularly if you desire a brighter shade or your teeth have deeper staining.
Teeth whitening can restore your teeth to a much brighter, more youthful color. While results vary from person to person, most clients experience a brightening of 2 to 8 shades per session. Factors such as the type of discoloration, your oral habits, and your overall dental health can influence the outcome. For the best results, a second treatment can extend and enhance the whitening effect.
With proper care, your teeth can remain bright for 1 to 3 years. Factors such as diet (especially staining foods like coffee, wine, or berries), smoking, and oral hygiene play a role in how long the results last.
Some clients may experience temporary tooth sensitivity or mild gum irritation during or after treatment. If sensitivity occurs, it usually subsides within 24 hours. This happens because the pores in your teeth open during the treatment, allowing temporary sensitivity in those with pre-existing conditions. I also provide a soothing gel to apply to sensitive areas for relief. Most people don't feel any sensitivity during this treatment though.
Teeth whitening is safe and suitable for most people. However, it may not be recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, individuals with gum disease, or those with untreated dental conditions. During your consultation, I'll assess your dental health to determine if you're a good candidate.
While our whitening process effectively reduces stains caused by coffee, tea, wine, and smoking, it may not remove all types of discoloration. We will discuss your unique situation during the consultation to set realistic expectations.
Teeth whitening can remove stains from crowns and veneers, but it cannot change their original color. If you have dental restorations, the surrounding natural teeth may become brighter, so this is something we'll review during your consultation.
A typical session begins with a consultation to assess your goals and the condition of your teeth. Next, the whitening gel is applied, and the blue LED light is used to activate the gel. The treatment is painless, and you can simply relax during the process. Afterwards, we'll provide instructions on how to care for your newly whitened teeth.
For 2 hours after your treatment it is recommended to only drink water or milk and to not eat anything.
For 24 hours after your treatment, it is best to avoid dark staining foods and drinks and/or smoking. The moderate use of electronic cigarettes is OK.
How to Maintain Your Teeth Whitening Results
Avoid Staining Foods and Drinks For the first 24-48 hours after treatment, avoid foods and beverages that can stain your teeth, such as coffee, tea, red wine, dark sauces (like soy sauce), berries, and beets. To maintain long-term results, consider cutting back on these items or using a straw for drinks to minimize contact with your teeth.
Practice Good Oral Hygiene Brush your teeth twice a day with a whitening toothpaste to help prevent new stains from forming. Floss daily to remove plaque and food particles that can cause discoloration. Regular oral hygiene is key to keeping your smile bright.
Rinse After Eating Staining Foods When you can’t avoid consuming staining foods or drinks, rinse your mouth with water right afterward. This helps wash away any pigments that could settle on your teeth.
Schedule Regular Professional Cleanings Visit your dentist or hygienist for regular cleanings every six months. Professional cleanings help remove surface stains and plaque buildup, which can dull your smile.
Avoid Smoking or Tobacco Products Smoking and using tobacco can quickly reverse the effects of teeth whitening, leading to yellowing or staining. If you smoke, consider cutting back or quitting to maintain your results.
Limit Acidic Foods and Beverages Acidic foods and drinks like citrus fruits, sodas, and vinegar-based products can wear away the enamel over time, making teeth more prone to staining. Try to limit their intake and drink water after consuming them.
Stay Hydrated with Water Drinking plenty of water throughout the day helps to wash away staining agents and keep your mouth clean. Water also promotes saliva production, which is a natural defense against staining.
Touch-Up Treatments Depending on your lifestyle, you may need to schedule touch-up whitening treatments every 6-12 months. This keeps your teeth looking their best and extends the longevity of the original whitening results.
